World renowned and brilliant Dr. Laura,
adept at studying the maladies
of Bonanarchists, took great interest in the seemingly contagious affliction
and quickly launched a privately funded study to diagnose the symptoms and
name the disease that plagued the list members. The following is her
professional findings:
Bonanarchy Dementia
Dementia is not a disease itself but group of symptoms that characterize
diseases and conditions. Dementia is commonly defined as a decline in
intellectual functioning that is severe enough to interfere with the ability
to perform routine activities.
Bonanarchy Dementia begins a slow insidious course of decline in daily
function including hygiene, work habits and in person social life. Diagnosis
of dementia, Bonanarchy type is as follows: All from Group A. Group A.
1. An undying love for the television show Bonanza. This love reaches
obsessional level as the individual attempts to add more and more of Bonanza
to her/his life.
2. Use of a computer to transmit this love throughout cyberspace.
3. A progressive and increased amount of time on the net, discussing
Bonanza and/or individuals related to the show. Usually the course begins
with a once a week checking of mail, moving to once a day and then once an
hour. True dementia is found when the individual no longer signs off of the
net. At least three of the following:

Inability to relax when away from computer for more than one hour

Bizarre ideation blurted out without filtering thoughts at all
A need for depersonalization as everyone related to the dementia does
not have their real name and a fantasy world is created.

A need to relate everything in one's life to Bonanza and/or a
character within the show.

Lack of thought given to how behavior or discussion appears to those
not afflicted with dementia.

A need to throw off the bonds of oppression and a love of the lack of
rules and regulations. Not to be confused with amorality, or the lack of
good intentions.

A compulsive need to beg for what the individual wants and no concern
regarding how silly it might appear to the unaffected.
Prognosis is poor as the Dementia, Bonanarchy Type becomes all consuming.
Treatment consists of total abstinence, reality therapy and a huge dose of
anti psychotic medication.
